Persona 3 Reload Matches Up With Akihiko Sanada

By William "Shadowz" KokOctober 23, 2023

Been waiting for this eh? ATLUS newest character trailer for Persona 3 Reload is Akihiko Sanada. The protein boxer of Gekkoka High. Voiced by Alejandro Saab.

In the trailer, we see that Akihiko trains religiously. Even when studying, he will do something that will engage himself physically. We see him in combat, and utilizing his boxing skills, he takes down Shadows with strikes and precision. He says that pursuing strength and pushing himself to compete was his primary reason before. Now he learns that protecting someone is also a reason and pillar for strength.

We see his Theurgy attack, in which he uses Polydeuces to deal Heavy Lightning damage on all foes and ignores resistances. A new move to open up new strategies while in Tartarus. We then get a cooking lesson with Akihiko. He gives a crash course on how an athlete cooks and how it is dire to make precise portions and store them afterward. Since he is a 3rd-year boxer, he gets his fair share of fan girls. However, he dismisses them with logic and apathy. However, he starts to regret it when reading a relationship guide for Men, informing him that those who respond that way are inarticulate.

Next week, we are expecting the Student Council President, Mitsuru Kirijo, to make her appearance. See the last trailer of Junpei Iori here.

Persona 3 Reload is set to release on February 2, 2024, on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC Windows, and Steam.
