It is only weeks away until the next title in the Trails series, The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond The Horizon, gets released. To get fans back up to speed, NIS America has posted a story recap trailer! Note that the trailer is a recap of only The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II. Do not watch the recap if you have not played Trails Through Daybreak II. It is a recap made mainly for those who have beaten the game last year, as it still doesn’t cover everything.
I will admit I wish there were a recap of The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak as well, since that also is going to be important, I wager, for Trails Beyond The Horizon. I will note that if you do want to play Trails Beyond The Horizon, I would recommend reading the guide we have at The Outerhaven that discusses the series arcs in depth. Trails Beyond The Horizon is a huge turning point in the series as it involves cast from almost every arc of the game to come together.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon launches on January 15, 2026, and will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.
