Not too long ago, Hound13, the developer behind the upcoming action RPG DragonSword: Awakening, revealed plans to relaunch the title. Since then, the studio has been steadily rolling out new trailers highlighting its playable characters. Today, we’ve got another one, this time focusing on the hero known as Theresia.
In this short trailer, Theresia comes across as an absolute force. She wields a pair of flails to dish out serious damage, and watching her in action is something else. Every swing looks brutal, and it’s hard not to imagine the kind of carnage players will be able to unleash once she becomes playable later this year.
“The only mercy that can be granted to heretics is death.” Theresia — one of only 10 Heretic Inquisitors in the Organa Order. She holds absolute authority to execute anyone deemed a heretic on sight, and to this day, she patrols every region to root out threats to Orbis. Witness the rending Bleed effects, Stun status ailments, and the devastating power of her sacred mace.

If this trailer has you interested, you won’t have to wait too long to try the game yourself. A demo for DragonSword: Awakening is planned for Steam Next Fest in June 2026. After that, the game is expected to launch later in 2026. It’s currently slated for a Steam release, with no word yet on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S versions, though it certainly feels like a game that should make the jump.
