Get caught up with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launch trailer

With less than one day left before Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 graces the PlayStation 5, Insomniac Games has dropped the launch trailer. Typically, launch trailers are the last hype build-up before a game is released, but in this instance, does Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 need any more hype? This game has been reviewed incredibly well and is already what many call a PlayStation 5 console seller.

Yeah, this game is a big deal.

This launch trailer catches people up on the events from Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and it does it in such a fashion that it gets you ready to jump into the new game. Of course, I’d recommend playing both games before jumping into Spider-Man 2 so you can experience the events mentioned in this trailer. Or, don’t, as shown in this trailer, you don’t have to. And yes, this trailer does spoil a few things if you didn’t play the first game.

Check in the launch trailer below.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 doesn’t reinvent the wheel but refines everything that made the first two games great. The combat, characters, the ability to swing through the city or use the web wings, and, of course, the feature that everyone can’t stop talking about: the fast travel is instant and lets you zip across the city in the blink of an eye. In this third game in the series, players can take control of Peter Parker as the original Spider-Man and Miles Morales as the up-and-coming Spider-Man and play with either character whenever they want.

Of course, we can’t forget about the inclusion of Venom, a long-stay baddie (and friend) of Spider-Man from both the comic books and cartoons. As a massive Spider-Man fan, I’ve blocked everything about the game, as I wanted to go in fresh and not have anything spoiled for me. Just one more day, and I’ll be able to jump in fully.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be released on October 20, 2023, exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
