Five Gameplay Mechanics That Make Lies of P Feel Different

By Keith MitchellJune 10, 2023

Lies of P is an upcoming Soulslike game that has several exciting gameplay mechanics that feel unique in a sea of so many “me-to” Soulslike titles. These gameplay mechanics are impressive and had me take notice once I understood them in the current Lies of P demo that’s available for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. If you enjoy Soulslike games, try the demo before it goes away on June 28, 2023.

  • 1:00 – Prosthetic Arm
  • 2:28 – Block / Health system and how they work
  • 4:41 – Weapon Degradation
  • 6:49 – Perfect Guard or Perfect Block
  • 8:28 – Lying system

I also wanted to note that demo is very well done, especially on the PC and assuming that you have the hardware. I have to say that it has impressed me. I experienced no stuttering or anything along those lines. It’s a cool drink amongst a desert of games that are being released in states that they really shouldn’t be. The Lies of P demo has only solidified why this is one of my most anticipated games of 2023.

Lies of P releases on September 19, 2023, for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
