Immersive First Person Shooter Skin Deep Launches Today on PC

Skin Deep

Annapurna Interactive has an incredible string of successes as a publisher of various indie titles over the years. From the major hit in Outer Wilds to award winning games such as Cocoon and Lorelei and the Laser Eyes more recently. They’ve even helped put out some games already in 2025 with Lushfoil Photography Sim and Wanderstop. Today, sees the release of yet another 2025 title in Skin Deep.

Coming from developer Blendo Games known for titles such as Flotilla, Thirty Flights of Loving, and Quadrilateral Cowboy, Skin Deep is an immersive First-Person Shooter that tasks you with resolving problems in some eccentric ways. Sneaking, Subverting, and/or sabotaging is the point of this adventure.

Complete Missions in Hilarious Ways in Skin Deep

The player is literally a secret weapon stored away on cargo ships and when danger strikes its your time to unthaw and take out the invaders. How you diffuse each situation is entirely unique. For example, you may use your weapon to literally blow a hole in the ship and send a pirate out into space.

As seen in the launch trailer for Skin Deep, which also released today, setting an enemy ablaze, literally making them slip on a banana peel, or even throwing their head in a toilet are all viable options for disposing of an adversary. The game thrives on you finding wacky ways to take out anyone in your way from completing the mission throughout its 10-12 hour length. Plus, you have space cats to save throughout the journey as well, and who doesn’t want to save cats?

Although it’s only out on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, perhaps if it succeeds Blendo Games can bring it to consoles in the future. The game is also currently `10% off during release week making it $17.99 (normally $19.99 USD) with a soundtrack bundle edition available for $24.28 (normally $26.98 USD).
