Today, Hoyoverse dropped a brand new trailer for the next update to Genshin Impact Version Luna VII or “Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana”. This update will hit Genshin Impact on May 20th, 2026.
First off, the region we are going back to is Sumeru. We will likely get more details about Nahida and everything that went down with Dottore. Also, it looks like Dottore will be playing a significant role in this update. Something interesting to note is that Dottore was killed by the Traveler last time we saw him, though he also has a ton of puppet bodies that likely have his essence still in them. Maybe Dottore is like Voldemort, where you have to kill all his puppet bodies to remove him permanently from existence.
There are also two new five-star characters to show for this update. First is Nicole. A Pyro Catalyst user. It does look like she summons a fire version of herself as an ability. Her Elemental Skill grants an ATK Bonus to all party members, including those off the field, while generating a shield. Nicole is known as “N” to those who remember the mages of Hexenzirkel. This marks her as the first playable character from Hexenzirkel.
The second character is Lohen. Lohen is the vice captain of the Knights of Favonius’ Fifth Company. He is a Cryo Polearm user. Though it looks like his skills revolve around his dagger. He does some fast attacks with the dagger to dish out some damage. He has two resources that will maximize his kit. Joy and Will to Win. By entering the Masterstroke state through his Elemental Skill, he can build up and consume Joy to unleash enhanced skills, while Will to Win accumulates as his teammates engage in battle, further amplifying his combat potential
A third new character joins the update as a four-star character will be joining the Genshin Impact Roster. She is certified by Alice to help as a Witch Hunter. She is an Anemo Catalyst user. She uses a hammer to utilize Swirl reactions and dishes out different elemental damage.
A new limited-time event centered on Klee’s Little Hexenzirkel will invite players to take part in a variety of fun mini-games alongside Qiqi, Yaoyao, Sayu, and its newest member, Prune. Players can obtain a range of rewards, including the exclusive weapon appearance “Super Awesome Magic Key.”
Meanwhile, Miliastra Wonderland will host a special sports festival for players to enjoy. In addition, Manekins can now perform actions across Teyvat, allowing players to capture even more memorable moments with the Kamera. Version “Luna VII” will also expand its suite of editing tools and assets.
Genshin Impact is a free-to-play gacha game available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Android, and iOS. Version Luna VII update “Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana” will go live on May 20th, 2026.
