Fans of Capcom’s legendary fighting games, get ready to level up your experience! Capcom has just unveiled a thrilling new trailer for the MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics. This sneak peek details an eagerly awaited patch, scheduled for release on Wednesday, April 16, at 10 PM PT / 1 AM ET, bringing exciting updates to multiple fighting game collections, including Capcom Fighting Collection and the upcoming Capcom Fighting Collection 2.

The updates promise a host of quality-of-life improvements across the board, with special attention given to the titles that defined arcade gaming for a generation. X-MEN VS. STREET FIGHTER and MARVEL vs. CAPCOM 2 New Age of Heroes are set to receive specific enhancements, ranging from new graphical options to expanded access to different versions.

Here’s a breakdown of what’s new for these fan-favorite titles:

  • X-MEN VS. STREET FIGHTER Players can now choose between versions 960910, 961004, and 961023, offering greater customization and nostalgia for diehard fans.
  • MARVEL vs. CAPCOM 2 New Age of Heroes Dive into battles with upgraded resolution and improved graphics quality, adding a fresh polish to the classic visuals.

But wait, there’s MORE! The MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics itself is getting a fantastic overhaul, making gameplay more seamless and immersive. These improvements include:

  • Versus mode availability across all fighting titles. First to 3? First to 5? First to 10?
  • The ability to access menus with a long press during online matches, reducing accidental inputs during high-stakes gameplay.
  • A new option to reset the game directly from the pause menu, offering greater convenience to players.
  • Fresh artwork from acclaimed Capcom artist Shinkiro, bringing new creative flair to the collections.
  • New Cap-Jams remixes

These changes won’t just enhance MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics—they’ll also roll out to Capcom Fighting Collection and Capcom Fighting Collection 2.  So get ready, Capcom is about to… Take You for a Ride, All Over Again!

And be sure to keep an eye out for Capcom Fighting Collection 2, which will be released on May 16, 2025, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
