As I noted in the latest episode of the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast, we are just four weeks away from the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct that’ll reveal a BUNCH more information on what’s coming with The Big N’s new console, especially its gaming lineup. However, there are many who still wish to know a lot about the hardware specs and what “true improvements” we can expect from the upcoming console. That’s where the FCC comes in, apparently. The government agency released some new filings and specs, and it highlights some key elements of the Switch 2’s capabilities.
For example, it will again have NFC support, but it’ll also have Wi-Fi 6 support. That’s important because, to be honest, the OG Switch hasn’t been the best with its online capabilities. Many hope this, and possibly further upgrades, could lead to a much smoother internet connection.
Another unique twist is that the console will be able to charge from ports from both the top and bottom of the console! That’s cool!
Obviously, these are just small elements to the Nintendo Switch 2 overall, but each improvement will make it a better console and something that will make it harder to wait until launch day to get.
