Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Year 1 DLC Potentially Leaked

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Year 1 DLC Potentially Leaked

With Mai Shiranui making her way throughout the FGC and Street Fighter VI in nearly every match possible, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves itself might be next news-wise. A potential leak of the Year 1 DLC characters have surfaced. 3 legacy characters may be joining the Wolves post-launch alongside Ken and Chun-Li of Street Fighter fame.

In an image recently leaked, Andy Bogard, Joe Higashi, and Mr. Big are set to return to the King of The Fighters that Southtown hosts. Andy, a master of the Shiranui style of Ninjutsu, and Joe, the Muay Thai champ, were the first two characters to join Terry in the quest for revenge back in 1991’s Fatal Fury.

Fatal Fury

The three warriors have been in each Fatal Fury game together and mostly all of The King of Fighters games on the same team to represent Southtown. Mark of the Wolves opted to take the New Generation route and omit Andy and Joe from the roster and keep Terry as the returning character. Andy did make an appearance in Hokumontaru’s ending to reveal that he was the young shinobi’s sensei. His picture also is shown in the ninja’s downtown stage with Mai’s, too. Hokumontaru’s moveset resembles Mai’s and Andy’s. Andy’s going in with the short look and closer to home with his original threads.

Currently, Joe is succeeded by his pupil – Preecha – who shows that he has bestowed some of his moveset onto the scientist. Joe seems to be rocking some new specs for some reason in the picture. His shorts show some sponsors such as Pao Pao Cafe and Yuri’s Fitness Club. The former is a staple in the Southtown games and now is a spot in Metro City for Street Fighter VI. The latter is now Marco Rodriguez‘s stage. There seems to be another sponsor in the form of Cheng Seizen Pictures. Cheng is also a legacy Fatal Fury character who’s practically a millionaire in the series. Unfortunately, Cristiano Renaldo isn’t one of them yet.

Outside of these three, Mr. Big is the surprise. Mr. Big is the Eskrima practicing sub-boss in the first Art of Fighting game. Usually surrounded by two women for both arms and to carry his jacket, the crime lord is mostly in Art of Fighting and started appearing in King of Fighters with the Bosses Team of Geese Howard and Wolfgang Krauser. He does make a cameo in Fatal Fury as a bit of a chauffer to Geese Howard – who succeeds him in the second Art of Fighting game.

Since the events of Fatal Fury take place after the Art of Fighting events, there’s potential to see more Art of Fighting characters. Age doesn’t seem to be a factor for the crime boss.  The motivation for Mr. Big to appear now could be tied to the death of Geese Howard and also, maybe some sort of deal with the current head boss of Southtown’s underground and Mark of The Wolves final boss – Kain Heinlen. This isn’t the first time an Art of Fighting character was playable in a Fatal Fury game. Ryo Sakazaki – the protagonist of the Art of Fighting games is a secret character in Fatal Fury Special.

In promotional art, Andy and Joe have appeared a few times, with interviews hinting at more legacy characters coming in. Andy will be coming this summer with Ken, while Joe is to appear this fall. Mr. Big will appear in Early 2026 after Chun-Li steps into the ring if the leak is true. If this is true, this will be the first time that Ken and Chun-Li will be in the same game with the Bogard Brothers. There have been many leaks in SNK’s past that came to be, such as the Neo Geo Mini, so it’s wise to treat this with a grain of salt.
