Fatal Fury City of the Wolves: Andy Will Be Playable At Evo Japan

Fatal Fury Andy Bogard

According to PR from SNK and Fatal Fury‘s official channels, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves’ Andy Bogard will be playable at Evo Japan, taking place May 9th to 11th at Tokyo Big Sight (East Exhibition Halls 2-3). The SNK booth will be hosting Andy’s playable build—making it the best opportunity to put the Shiranui-style master through his paces ahead of his June DLC release.

While City of the Wolves has Hokutomaru as the heir to the Shiranui-ryuu Ninjutsu legacy(sorry, Mai), Andy clearly still has a few lessons to pass on—on the battlefield. His inclusion gives players a nostalgic yet refreshed take on one of Fatal Fury’s OG protagonists.

Andy is part of the Year 1 DLC, which will be included with every copy of City of the Wolves. That means all owners will have access to him without any extra cost. If SNK’s current two-month DLC schedule holds, Street Fighter’s Ken Masters will follow Andy in August, marking the first time both iconic secondary protagonists will appear in the same game together on the same roster—an exciting moment for crossover fans. Capcom vs SNK 3, anyone?
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Year 1 DLC Potentially Leaked

Andy’s journey in the series began alongside Terry and Joe as one of the original trio seeking revenge on Geese Howard. Though both Terry and Andy trained under Master Tung Fu Rue, Andy chose a different path—studying under a ninja master in Japan, paving the way for his unique style that blends traditional martial arts with Shiranui-ryuu Ninjutsu.

He’s been a staple in nearly every Fatal Fury and King of Fighters game, typically joining Terry and Joe as part of the classic Italy…err “Southtown Team”. Despite missing a few appearances here and there, Andy’s legacy is well cemented. His mid-range pressure game and solid neutral tools make him a serious threat—especially as a shoto type. Watch that elbow!

What was with Andy?

Speculation around Andy’s return began last year, following his cameo in Mai’s story in Street Fighter 6 and a background appearance on the Pao Pao Café stage. A voice clip further hinted at his arrival, and now, because of the DLC information release, fans finally have confirmation. Missing out on Garou: Mark of the Wolves as a participant hasn’t slowed Andy down one bit.

With next week’s release of City of the Wolves centered on the Southtown saga, expect Andy to have a strong presence—not just as a playable character, but possibly within the game’s story or background scenes before he descends into the roster.

One question remains: who you got in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves? Andy or Ken?
