Kunimitsu has returned to the King of The Iron Fist Tournament in Tekken 8. This will be her second appearance since her debut in Tekken 8. Namco Bandai revealed her new trailer at Evo Japan this year. The daughter of the original Kunimitsu has jumped back into the swing of things with some new technqiues and tricks at her disposal such as fire usage and the use of her special katana for her Rage Art.
She seems to know the master behind Raven’s style and has a scholastic connection to Reina. Her special intros bring this up. She even has a cool new school outfit. The tricky character doesn’t slouch. Girl got mixup if she needs it for that “hit and run” style.
Kunimitsu will be released on June 1st, but the preview will be on May 28th to kick off Season 3’s roster.

Kunimitsu will be around for the Tekken 8 hands-on build demo at Combo Breaker on May 22-24th for folks to try out. Also, the 4th character in the reveal will also be here. According to Namco Bandai, this will be a brand new character to check out. Sadly, this might NOT be Tifa from Final Fantasy VII. I’m still hoping for Sifu.
Bob, from Tekken 6, will be coming back to the tournament, also, this Summer. Surprisingly, kangaroo boxer and his kin, Roger Jr. will also be making another appearance, since Tekken Tag Tournament 2, this Fall. The kangaroo puglist will be joining Kuma and Panda. Here’s to hoping that Alex also shows face. Then again, dinosaurs might be pushing it for the world domination tournament.
Tekken 8 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
