Etrange Overlord Coming To Consoles And PC

NIS America is partnering up with Gemdrops and BROCCOLI to publish a brand new musical action adventure game known as Etrange Overlord.

You may be wondering why Etrange Overlord looks and has similar vibes to Disgaea, thats because it is helmed by Sohei Niikawa, the creator of the Disgaea series. It even takes place in Hell. Mixing the underworld shenaningans of Disgaea and the whimsy of Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure, comes this fun new title to the mix.

Features:

  • An Army of Subordinates: As Étrange von Rosenburg, gather a colorful cast of characters from all corners of hell and put them to work as your subordinates! Each lovable character was designed by legendary illustrator Shinichiro Otsuka.
  • Chase the Revolving Lane: Shoot, dodge, and slash your way across the battlefield in fast-paced action RPG gameplay, featuring a unique lane mechanic that sends items, power ups, and even your characters revolving around the stage! Then enjoy the frenetic gameplay with up to four friends in the multiplayer mode!
  • Living Your Best Afterlife: Just because you’re in hell doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy yourself! Follow Étrange as she tries to live her best life no matter the circumstances in a far-reaching story with plenty of laughs, heart, and musical numbers!

A Limited Edition of the game will be made and will be available to be purchased at a later date. NIS America promises more details on the Limited Edition will be available November 13th.

Etrange Overlord will be released early 2026 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
