Bandai Namco is going all in on DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO with its next expansion, and this one feela like it’s aimed directly at what fans have been asking for. The newly announced Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC is set to arrive in Summer 2026, bringing over 30 new playable characters, new stages, expanded customization, and a brand-new solo mode.
And yeah, this isn’t a small update.
30+ New Fighters Join the Fight
The biggest draw here is additional characters that is being added to the roster. The NEO DLC adds more than 30 fighters, including names like:
- Super 17
- Bardock (Super Saiyan)
- King Vegeta
- Champa
- Vegeta (GT)
- Trunks (GT)
- Nuova Shenron (GT)
It also digs deeper into Dragon Ball history with picks like Grandpa Gohan, Mercenary Tao, Demon King Piccolo, and Pikkon. Even better, some of these are making their Budokai Tenkaichi debut, which longtime fans will definitely notice. But seriously, Nuova Shenron from Dragon Ball GT? King Vegeta? This is going to be good.

More Ways to Play, Not Just More Characters
This isn’t just about adding fighters. The DLC also brings over 20 new customization options, letting you tweak abilities and build out your own playstyle instead of sticking to preset kits.
There are also four new stages, including Kami’s Palace and Stratosphere (Planet Vegeta), which should make fights feel even more cinematic.
The biggest addition is the Limit Breaker Journey, a new solo mode with branching paths, character progression, and rewards that carry over into online play. If this lands the way it sounds, it could be exactly what the game needed on the single-player side.
A Step Closer to What Fans Wanted
Super Limit-Breaking NEO looks like a real step forward for Sparking! ZERO. It’s not just adding content, it’s filling in some of the gaps players have been pointing out since launch.
