Dead Space Remake Gameplay Trailer Dropping Tomorrow

By Keith MitchellOctober 3, 2022
Dead-Space-Remake

EA and Motiv have revealed that a new Dead Space remake gameplay trailer will be released on October 4th, at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET.

Since the Dead Space remake was revealed, the Motiv has been showing off various things here and there. Mainly regarding the new technology that will be included in the remake and what changes will be added.

While this is a remake of the first Dead Space title, Motiv has been transparent on what will change and what will be faithful to the original game. Thankfully, not much will be changed in terms of the story. Yet, the gunplay will be tweaked, while the newly implemented new sound engine will add to the game’s immersion.

Recently, it was revealed that players would be able to visit the entirety of the USG Ishimura, the giant planet cracker ship where Dead Space takes place. In the original game, you were gated and could only visit locations after you satisfied the requirements per the story.

Once we get our hands on the remake, we’ll be able to go anywhere we want. It sounds like something that will be handy for speed runs. And something I think I’ll be giving a try once the game is released.

I’m super excited about tomorrow, as I’ve been a massive fan of Dead Space since I played the first game on my Xbox 360. I was also quite frustrated that Dead Space 3 ultimately caused the series’s downfall and pushed the pause button on the franchise.

It wasn’t until after Dead Space’s creator, Glen Schofield, revealed that he was working on a spiritual successor that EA revealed that Dead Space was getting a remake. It still hurts he isn’t involved in something he crafted in the first place.

Dead Space remake will be released for current generation consoles, the PS5, Xbox X|S, and the PC, on January 27th, 2023
