The production staff behind the TV anime adaptation of Dark Gathering announced on Tuesday that the second season is in production. A new teaser visual was also revealed alongside the announcement that the main staff and cast will be returning. Hiroshi Ikehata is directing the anime at Studio OLM.
It was also confirmed that Dark Gathering will make an appearance at Jump Festa 2026 on December 21. Cast members Yu Shinohara, Nobunaga Shimazaki, Kana Hanazawa, and Rina Kawaguchi are all scheduled to appear at the event. More information is expected to be revealed at the event.
The first season began airing in Summer 2023 and received a 7.84 score on My Anime List. The original manga by Kenichi Kondo began publication in 2019. Shueisha has published the 18th Volume in August 2025, while Viz Media will publish the 16th English volume next week.
