Arknights: Endfield’s “At the Wake of Spring” update isn’t just another chapter. It’s a turning point for the Wuling arc, delivering long-awaited story payoffs while introducing a character that could seriously shake up team building. After spending time with the update, it’s clear this is one of the most important releases that Arknights: Endfield has had so far, especially if you’ve been following Chen’s story or waiting for the electric team to finally feel complete.
Narrative
I went into the chapter focused on two things: the story and how Zhuang Fangyi plays. With the story, I do not want to give actual story spoilers, but I did want to talk about the narrative structure. One big key highlight in Wuling should be Chen and her relationship to the past. Luckily, this version is where we get some serious payoffs with Chen’s story and her character. In previous story segments, we dive into the view of Chen from individuals who watched her from afar more than those who actually worked with her.
Another big player in the story of Wuling is Ardashir. When you first get into Wuling, you meet Ardashir, and he immediately notices who the Endmin is. He does a poor job of hiding that he does, and once he is alone with the Endmin, he tries as hard as he can to poke at their missing memories, to see if they can remember him. This whole story starts with Ardashir messing with Xiranite, so luckily, yes, he does play a part in this story.

Combat
I started Arknights: Endfield “At The Wake of Spring” with a custom-made team made by the GRYPHLINE team. I decided to make my own team, focusing on the strengths of Zhuang Fangyi. Her strengths mainly include working off of electrification arts inflictment stacks. I tried initially to see how she did without a team based on that setup, and she only really works without a strong setup team during her ultimate. Without an ultimate, she is still strong, but she feels a lot less powerful unless there are operators on your team that utilize electrification arts infliction
The team I mainly used was Zhuang Fangyi, Perlica, Avywenna, and Antal. The main rotation you would want is to wait till you have Antal’s ultimate before using Zhuang Fangyi’s ultimate. The electric amp boosts her transformation’s damage capabilities by a great amount. Make sure you use Antal’s focus on big enemies to help your electric damage deal even more damage to them as well. Then let Perlica apply arts infliction with her electric skills and react with Avywenna, Perlica, Antal, and finally Zhuang Fangyi.
Zhuang Fangyi, in her ultimate state, is a strong power fantasy. She covers a wide range with her normal attacks while in her ultimate form, which can take down large mobs with ease. Her combat skill, while in the ultimate form, applies arts infliction, which is a crazy addition.

At The Wake Of Spring
Arknights: Endfield update “At the Wake of Spring” is a really good chapter to Wuling, but also a good finale for many of the set-ups of previous story arcs. We get some good motivations and explanations for the characters we have dealt with since the beginning of the game. We also get a powerful electric user in Zhuang Fangyi, which is something the electric team has really needed.
Arknights: Endfield update “At the Wake of Spring” is now live. Arknights: Endfield is available free-to-play right now on PlayStation 5, PC, and Mobile Devices (iOS and Android). Check out the review of the game on our website.
