Andor Season 2 Gets First Trailer

The Revolution Starts...Now

Andor Season 2

The state of the Star Wars franchise isn’t what many fans hoped it would be. The Acolyte was a disaster in many respects, and while Skeleton Crew was better (as my review states), it was the least-watched Star Wars property on Disney+. Thus, you can understand why many at Disney are thrilled that Andor Season 2 is almost here. While I may be in the vocal minority of those who didn’t think it was “all it was cracked up to be,” critics adored it (as the trailer below loves to state), and thus, there are many high expectations on Season 2.

The first official trailer for it has dropped, and it includes not only insights into what’s happening, but gives us an April 22nd release date.

However, what the trailer doesn’t state is that Andor Season 2 will be released in four “chapters,” each with three episodes. The reason for that is, unlike the first season, there will be time jumps and skips to help get us fully to Rogue One. That means the episodes will start in April and then the whole season will be showcased by May. Creator Tony Gilroy had this to say about the upcoming second season:

“One of the great thrills of making Andor is the scale of the story and the number of characters we’re able to meet — ordinary people, Imperial overlords, passionate revolutionaries. They are real people making epic decisions, all of them staring down questions with terrifying consequences. Cassian’s journey is the soul and spine of our story, but it’s the choir that makes the show. I’m so excited for audiences to see where we go in Season 2.”

We’ll see how it all turns out in April!
