A Rumor States Star Fox Could Return Via Nintendo Switch Successor

By Todd BlackJanuary 22, 2024
Star Fox

As we’ve noted numerous times on the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast, there will be TONS of rumors about the Nintendo Switch successor until Nintendo finally unveils it. Most signs point to that happening later this year, but The Big N hasn’t given any indication as to when the “reveal event” may be. That’s why insiders like Zippo have been popping up every few weeks to discuss potential games we could see on the console. The newest rumor? It has to do with Star Fox.

Nintendo fans will know that the last mainline entry with Fox McCloud and his team was Star Fox Zero on the Wii U. And it was so underperforming that it basically shelved the franchise ever since! But, according to Zippo, Fox will be back on Nintendo’s next system, and just as important, it’ll be out “in the next twelve months.”

If that’s true, that’s huge news and something gamers will want to celebrate, especially since the title is rumored to be made in-house and likely would have the quality we would expect from Nintendo. But, as always, don’t believe these rumors fully until they’re confirmed.
