Bandai Namco announced the new Tekken 8 season 3 DLC roster during Frosty Faustings and the Tekken World Tour Championships. The company had also promised a return-to-basics form as a part of the critical Season 2 issue course correct. The Tekken World Tour Championships was also producer Katsuhiro Harada’s last Namco appearance since his departure from the franchise and company. No, he’s not dead: he’s just figuring things out. Hopefully, New Virtua Fighter Project as a consultant team lead with RGG.
Season 3 promises more resets for character battle balancing. Thanks to this, there will be a Rank Reset incoming alongside the changes. The rank reset seems to be a demotion to at least 5 ranks down. Replays will probably not the work or be erased, also. As for the Tekken World Tour, the new season will start with Evo Japan this year. Thanks to the balance changes, March 16/17 will be the date where everything goes back, it seems. To bridge the gap, there seems to be a Dev Feedback Portal to be released in conjunction with the changes.
Alongside the release of Ver. 3.00, we plan to launch the beta version of the official development forum, “TEKKEN Dev Feedback Portal.” By submitting feedback related to bugs or battle balance through a dedicated form, players will be able to deliver their feedback directly to the development team. Submissions will be moderated and shared on the TEKKEN Dev Feedback Discord, separate from the Official TEKKEN Discord, allowing for discussion among players. (While all feedback will be reviewed, not all suggestions can be implemented.)
Going forward, we aim to consolidate feedback through this forum to improve the overall game experience. We sincerely thank everyone who has previously shared feedback via the X hashtag #t8_report (and related tags), replies to TEKKEN project members, and X chat messages (formerly Direct Messages).
To facilitate smoother information gathering, we kindly ask for your cooperation in submitting feedback through the official development forum moving forward. Details such as the release date and URL will be announced at a later time.
The response of the Season 2 changes was loud. This could be the stopgap to help feedback to be more streamlined and responded to so the community can feel seen.

Bob, from Tekken 6, will be coming back to the tournament, also, this Summer. Surprisingly, kangaroo boxer and his kin, Roger Jr. will also be making another appearance since Tekken Tag Tournament 2 this Fall. There will be a new character forthcoming, too, in the winter. As to who this will be is up to Namco. Miary Zho was the latest new character to come to Tekken next to Final Fantasy XVI’s Clive. No gameplay has been shown outside of their new renders. This new character could be another guest. I’m hoping for Sifu.
