Diablo Immortal Is Now Heading To The PC

By Keith MitchellApril 25, 2022
Diablo Immportal

Diablo Immortal is coming to PC, with an open beta taking place in June 2022.

When Blizzard first announced that Diablo Immortal was heading to mobile devices only, mainly iOS and Android devices. The Diablo fans weren’t too happy about that, as they had played the series on PC (and console) for years. To which there was the question was asked, “You don’t play games on mobile devices?”

All changes as Blizzard have revealed that Diablo Immortal is indeed headed to the PC. When the title is released for the IOS and Android devices, an open beta for the PC will also take place on June 2, 2022. I suppose this means all those Diablo players who were hoping they could play the game using BlueStacks won’t have to anymore.

Those that are interested in checking out the PC open-beta can register now.

On June 2, Hell is everywhere.

Of course, this does have a few things that need to be addressed. Since the game was developed with mobile devices in mind, Keyboard and Mouse and controller support need to be added. UI scaling needs to be included, as well as several other PC-centric options. We’ve seen how games that were just ported from mobile devices have turned out, and they weren’t particularly good.

Seeing how Diablo Immortal’s PC outing is an open beta, I’m hoping there will be tons of feedback from Diablo fans. This feedback will hopefully help the development of the PC version of the game.

Lastly, let’s be honest. We didn’t really care about Diablo Immortal. We want to know what the heck is up with Diablo 4. A title that we haven’t heard or seen much of since the massive data dump a few months back. This is the gem we want to see, and Blizzard has been quiet about it.

Back in 2019, Blizzard claimed they were shifting its focus to Diablo 4 and Overwatch. I’m beginning to wonder if what they really meant was they were shifting its focus to Diablo Immortal and Overwatch instead.
