On June 3, 2026, singer and voice actress Rico Sasaki released her full-length album RI PATHOS. Featuring ten all-new songs exploring diverse personal themes, the album reflects her journey to date and the future she is moving toward as an artist.
Coinciding with the launch, the music video for the lead track, “Touri Seikei,” has been unveiled. The song introduces a heavy hardcore sound, composed and arranged by Nodobue Tanaka of the band “the bercedes menz,” a group deeply rooted in the genre.
“Touri Seikei” draws its name from a classical Chinese idiom conveying that people naturally gather around those of sincerity and virtue. The track reinterprets this ancient proverb through a modern lens, presenting Sasaki’s own take on the concept—one where people are drawn together not by words or self-promotion, but by the quiet integrity of how one lives.
The accompanying music video portrays the journey of life through the imagery of branching plants, illustrating how setbacks and inner struggles can serve as a foundation for personal growth. Projected through the motif of winter trees, the visuals capture a fleeting yet resilient vitality, evoking the image of an artist who continues to stand tall through adversity.
