Monster Hunter fans, gear up for another thrilling hunt, as Capcom has officially launched Open Beta Test 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds, offering players another chance to experience the game ahead of its full release. The beta is now live on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, featuring cross-platform multiplayer. Yes, I know, this is finally a thing!

Similar to the previous beta, players can dive into character creation—complete with data that carries over to the full game—tackle a story mission and engage in free-roaming hunts with multiplayer support. This time, however, new features and hunts have been added, including an intense showdown with the game’s flagship monster, Arkveld.

  • Thursday, February 6 at 7:00 PM PST to Sunday, February 9 at 6:59 PM PST
  • Thursday, February 13 at 7:00 PM PST to Sunday, February 16 at 6:59 PM PST

Players who take part in the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test will receive a special pendant and a bonus item pack as rewards. More details on these rewards can be found on the official website.

It’s worth noting that while Monster Hunter Wilds will support PlayStation 5 Pro enhancements at launch, these features are not included in the beta build. Players will need to wait for the full game to experience these optimizations.

Lastly, PC players can now download the Monster Hunter Wilds Benchmark Tool to test their system’s performance before launch. This free tool evaluates your computer’s ability to run the game, helping you optimize settings for the best experience, or convince you that it’s finally time to upgrade your PC. However, keep in mind that the benchmark tool won’t include any of the optimizations that the full and finished game will

Monster Hunter Wilds will be released on February 28 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
