Monster Hunter Wilds Producer Talks Potential Switch 2 Port

Are You Intentionally Being Coy?

Monster Hunter Wilds

There are many things to look forward to in 2025 on both the hardware and software front. For example, Monster Hunter Wilds is getting ever closer to release, and gamers are pumped about that. Plus, the Nintendo Switch 2 is getting released later this year, and gamers are absolutely excited about that. Based on rumors and reports, the console will have plenty of power, leading to wonder if the Switch 2 will be able to handle certain 3rd party games, including the upcoming one from Capcom.

To that end, in an interview with Game Reactor, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto talked about the potential and, obviously…didn’t give a straight “yes or no” answer:

“Of course with relation to platforms from Monster Hunter Wilds we have nothing extra to announce beyond what’s already out there. But we’re also kind of in the same position everyone else is with the Switch 2: It’s such a brand-new announcement, and we would need to take time over the coming future to learn exactly the nature of the hardware and how we’ll be using it best and that’s something that’s going to be in the future for us.”

To be fair to him, Nintendo is apparently “restricting” what 3rd parties are allowed to say about the new system, likely because The Big N wants to wait for “big game announcements” until something like the April 2nd Direct. Capcom knows that Monster Hunter will sell on Nintendo platforms due to the incredible success of Rise, so nothing is out of reach right now.
