7th Prince Season 2 Comes to Crunchyroll in July

By Josh PiedraFebruary 1, 2025

Today, Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc. announced that Season 2 of the anime “I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability” begins airing worldwide on Crunchyroll in July 2025. Abbreviated as “7th Prince,” the manga adaptation of the original light novel of this highly popular isekai magical battle fantasy series has surpassed 7 million copies in circulation.

A new Season 2 key visual showcases protagonist Lloyd, dressed in monk robes, accompanied by Escher, a nun making her first appearance in Season 2, and Lloyd’s sister, Saria. Set inside a church illuminated by vibrant stained glass, the artwork hints at the beginning of a new chapter. What is the true nature of the light emitting from Lloyd…?

New characters and cast members for Season 2 have been revealed. Manaka Iwami will voice Escher, a nun with a beautiful singing voice. Minami Tsuda will play Saria, Lloyd’s musically talented older sister.

Manaka Iwami commented:

“This series often has a lot of comical ad-libbing during the recording sessions, and I find myself inspired by the fun performances of my fellow cast members every time! The character Escher, whom I have the honor of portraying, is a nun who is an excellent singer, gentle, charming, and naturally a bit ditzy!

Even during the recording sessions, we worked with such beautifully rendered visuals, and I can’t wait to see how it all comes together with the voices and music added! I hope everyone will enjoy the broadcast with me. Thank you for your support!”

Minami Tsuda also commented on their role:

“I’m Minami Tsuda, and I’ll be voicing Saria.

Saria is like a prodigy of music, having mastered every instrument… She’s a quiet character, but when it’s time to show off to Lloyd, she really gives it her all with a determined ‘Hmph!’ She’s Lloyd’s older sister who tries her best.

And that ‘Hmph!’ face is just so cute! 7th Prince has these moments of comical expressions that are truly adorable! Those soft, squishy cheeks… it makes you want to poke them (laughs).

In Season 2, please look forward to Lloyd and his friends, who continue to balance cute and cool, as well as the new characters who are joining the story!”

AnimeJapan 2025 will feature a special stage event for “I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability” Season 2 starring appearances by Makoto Koichi (Lloyd), Manaka Iwami (Escher), and Minami Tsuda (Saria). The show is scheduled for Saturday, March 22 at 12:30 p.m. located at Tokyo Big Sight (Tokyo International Exhibition Center), “AnimeJapan 2025” WHITE STAGE.

7th Prince is Described as Follows:

The study of magic requires aptitude, effort, and the right bloodline. One sorcerer loved magic, despite lacking the bloodline and aptitude for it, and died wishing he’d spent more time studying in life. He reawakens as Lloyd, the seventh prince of the Kingdom of Saloum, with all his previous memories intact. Blessed with a strong magical bloodline, he uses his gifts to master the study of magic.

After a victorious battle against Guisarme in the Lordost region, Lloyd’s pursuit of magic knows no bounds. His next goal? Holy Magic! To learn this sacred art, Lloyd and his companions visit a church, but what awaits them there…?

With over 7 million copies of the original manga sold, the isekai magic battle fantasy anime enters a new chapter: the “church edition!”
