Jason Momoa Joins Supergirl Film As Lobo

The Main Man Is Here...

It appears that the DCU will be getting incredibly wild going forward, and we’re only in the beginning stages of James Gunn’s “plan” for the project. Currently, the DCU only has one project out via Creature Commandos (which recently got approved for a second season,) and Superman will debut next year. Meanwhile, other movies are either “in the works” or are set to start filming soon, including Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which will now feature Jason Momoa as Lobo.

Yes, you heard that right. As confirmed by Deadline, the former Aquaman actor is stepping into the role of the “Main Man” and will presumably be the antagonist of the upcoming Supergirl film. If you don’t know, the “Main Man” is a bounty hunting alien who is from a race of beings so strong that he can actually go toe-to-toe with most of the heavy hitters in the DC Universe, including Kryptonians like Superman and Supergirl.

Ironically, Lobo has only made one live-action appearance in the past via the Syfy show Krypton, but we have a feeling Momoa will play the bounty hunter a bit differently.

Here’s Jason Momoa’s Instagram post that highlights past comments he’s made about Lobo, further confirming his role:
