S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl PC System Requirements Revealed

We’re 20 days away from the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and the Steam page for the game has just been updated with the PC system requirements. However, while the requirements have been revealed, they only include the minimum and recommended settings, both of which seem to target around 1080p based on the listed hardware. Meanwhile, many of us are still waiting to find out what is needed to run the game at higher resolutions, such as 1440p and 4K.

What’s interesting and noteworthy is that the Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti is still being recommended, even after Nvidia has tried to replace that card. It was one of Nvidia’s best GPUs, and it’s nice to see it still recognized, especially for those of us who owned that card, only for it to fail after the warranty expired.

Here are the PC system requirements for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl:

Minimum
OS: Windows 10, Windows 11
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X / Intel Core i5-7600K
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Storage: 150 GB available space
Additional Notes: SSD

Recommended
OS: Windows 10, Windows 11
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X / Intel Core i7-9700K
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8GB / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB
Storage: 150 GB available space
Additional Notes: SSD

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is an anticipated first-person shooter and survival horror game from the Ukrainian developer GSC Game World. It marks the fourth installment in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series and the first new entry in over 15 years, following the release of Call of Pripyat back in 2009. It’s been a rough development cycle for the game, as its developer has faced an uphill adversity, that looks to finally be at an end.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be released on November 20, 2024, for the Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
