Black Ops 6 Zombies Directed Mode Launches on November 14

Zombies mode is about to become easier for those who want the help
By Keith MitchellNovember 13, 2024
Black Ops 6 Zombie Directed Mode

With the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies mode, round-based maps make a triumphant return, thrilling fans of the classic mode. However, while this addition has sparked excitement, some players have found Zombies mode more complex and challenging than they anticipated—especially when trying to complete the Easter Egg quests on the available maps. That’s where the newly announced Zombies Directed Mode comes to the rescue.

For players struggling to complete iconic Zombie maps Liberty Falls and Terminus, Directed Mode provides much-needed guidance by marking essential objectives for completing the main quests, so you won’t have to leave the game to check guides or guess at the next step.

But that’s not all! Directed Mode will also cap rounds at 15, giving you a breather and preventing Zombies from overwhelming you in Black Ops 6.

However, there are some trade-offs. All Side Quests, S.A.M. Trials, and minor Easter Eggs will be disabled, leaving only the main quests to complete. It’s a decision to weigh carefully—will you opt for a focused experience or the full challenge? Whatever you decide, it’s all good. We all could use the help now and again. There’s no shame in asking for help.

Treyarch plans to release Directed Mode for every Zombies map, but only after the map has been available for some time. Don’t expect this helpful mode to launch alongside every new map.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. If you’re still deciding, check out our Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 review to see if the game lives up to the hype.
