Bandai Namco Announces Another Gundam Trading Card Game

I’ve never been a fan of card games, no matter how many times I’ve tried or how many times someone has tried to pull me into them. However, that might change because I’m a massive fan of Mobile Suit Gundam. With Bandai Namco now merging card games with Gundam, with its Gundam Trading Card Game, I have no choice but to check this out.

While details are sparse, Bandai Namco’s upcoming Gundam card game, tentatively titled the “New TCG Project Gundam,” will be fully revealed on October 3, 2024, during Bandai Namco Card Games Next Plan Presentation.

Here’s a teaser video about it, although, unfortunately, it doesn’t give us any concrete information about the upcoming trading card game.

I’m looking forward to this, mainly due to the Gundam connection. However, I’ve heard from several people that Bandai Namco’s previous trading card games haven’t been the best, so I hope this one turns out differently. That, and hopefully this Gundam Trading Card Game lasts longer than Bandai’s previous attempt, the Gundam War Collectible Card Game. That game didn’t last long in North America and was discontinued after three card sets.

As soon as we get more information on the Gundam Trading Card Game—whatever it ultimately ends up being—I’ll be writing about it like a madman or someone piloting a Psycho Gundam.
