Arc System Works released a new trailer for the next Guilty Gear Strive season. Announced at Evo 2024, the game seems to still have some more surprises for fans as it goes into its’ fourth season. A trailer was released today outlining some of major changes in store for Guilty Gear Strive.
The new Team of 3 Mode looks bonkers already. From the looks of it, one character is the main while the other two are assists. Meyhem probably far beyond what is shown here. The brief showing of this mode doesn’t do much justice as of yet, but the hints seem to paint a picture as to what to expect.
New exclusive character colors will be available along with new stages for the Daredevils to romp in.
Lucy, from the Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunners anime will be the first ever guest character to join the Guilty Gear series. CD Projekt Red seems to be giving their blessing for this addition. As to how she plays or what her kit is, we are yet to find out until 2025 or early 2024. Real talk, I was hoping for Adam Smasher.
This isn’t the first time a CD Projekt Red franchise crosses over with a fighting game. Geralt accidentally teleported to the tales of Swords and Souls in Soulcalibur VI not too long ago. Armed with both swords, spells, and potions, Geralt fit right in with the likes of Mitsurugi, Seigfred and the like. Even got himself a nice spot on the cover.
Some classic Gears will be making a comeback to the game. Queen Dizzy in October 2024. Venom will be queueing up in Early 2025. A new character, Urika, will be joining the cast in 2025, too. Urika does resemble a certain character from the new Dual Rulers anime from the franchise.
The Guilty Gear Strive Season Pass 4 will start tomorrow.
