It was announced by the official Ryu ga Gotoku Twitter account and Amazon that Like A Dragon: Yakuza is getting a live-action adaptation! The show is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on October 24!
Masaharu Take is attached to direct while Sean Crouch & Yugo Nakamura will handle the script.
Masayoshi Yokoyama, head of Ryu ga Gotoku and writer for Like a Dragon stated the following:
“I have no doubt that fans of the series will be drawn to how it brings the games to life and adds new surprises. Newcomers, I’m sure will find themselves invested simply in the gritty realism of the show.”
The series is slated to have a total of six episodes.
