Wayfinder To Support Crossplay and Cross Progression on PC and Consoles

By Keith MitchellAugust 15, 2023
Wayfinder Characters

Wayfinder is an upcoming MMORPG-ish game that is releasing for the PC (Steam) and PS4/PS5 in just a few short days as an Early Access title. As such, there’s still a lot of information about the game that possible players aren’t sure about, such as crossplay and cross-progression. I’ve seen this question being asked several times and figured it was time to provide a definite answer.

In a reasonably recent dev talk about Wayfinder, it was mentioned that the game would support crossplay and cross-progression. However, since the game is in Early Access, or will be, to take advantage of this, you will need to own a copy of the game for whichever platforms you wish to play on by purchasing a Wayfinder Founder’s Pack. Which currently aren’t up for sale but will be soon.

If you start playing Wayfinder on PC and then decide to play on the PS4 or PS5, you’ll need to purchase another. Eventually, once Wayfinder heads out of Early Access and moves to Free-to-Play, you won’t have to worry about paying for the title.

Wayfinder is a character-based, online action RPG that’s being released for PS4, PS5, and PC (Steam). Here, players will pick from various characters to control, each with unique play styles and abilities, and harness their power to defend against enemies that seek to destroy their beloved world. You can endlessly customize your adventures, making each character different. Explore dungeons, take down beasts, and battle against enemies with friends or go solo while gathering crafting materials for weapons, housing, augments, and more that will be of utmost importance in strengthening your character and pushing back a hostile force called the Gloom.

Wayfinder will be released as an Early Access title on August 17th, 2023, for the PS4, PS5, and PC (Steam). Are you looking forward to playing Wayfinder? Sound off in the comments, and let us know.
