Final Blue Beetle Trailer Shows Off Jaime’s Powers and Family

By Todd BlackJuly 11, 2023
Blue Beetle Trailer

It may not seem like it, but the next DC Comics live-action film is only about a month away from release. Technically speaking, it’s the “first film” in the DCU, and that puts a lot of pressure on the hero known as Jaime Reyes. But as the final Blue Beetle Trailer shows, it’s easy enough to find the flow of things when you have a superpowered scarab on your back. Oh, and your nana has a really big gun. Just saying.

One thing to note here is that, unlike many hero-origin stories, Jaime is perfectly fine with NOT being the Blue Beetle. But as the trailer states, he’s a hero whether he likes it or not.  So when the worst kind of people try and take the Scarab from him and threaten his family in the process? He’ll need to suit up and get on the same page with the Scarab so that he can save the day. No pressure, Jaime. The Blue Beetle Trailer has plenty to look at, including several teases of Ted Kord, who was long thought to show up in the Arrowverse, but it didn’t happen.

Regardless, the movie arrives on August 18th.
