Arcade1Up Officially Reveals its Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Arcade Cabinet

By Keith MitchellAugust 5, 2022
marvel vs capcom 2 roster shot

Yes, the Arcade1Up Marvel vs. Capcom cabinet is happening after being teased countless times. This cabinet first surfaced back in 2021. However, it was quickly shut down by Arcade1Up. Now, after all these months, it has officially been confirmed during EVO 2022. I’d imagine we would have seen this cabinet last year if EVO 2021 wasn’t canceled. Regardless, here it is.

This new cabinet will include Marvel vs. Capcom and several other Capcom fighting titles. Here’s every game that will be included with the Arcade1Up Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Arcade Game Cabinet:

  • Marvel vs. Capcom 2 – Arcade ROM
  • Marvel vs. Capcom – Arcade ROM
  • Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter – Arcade ROM
  • X-Men vs. Street Fighter – Arcade ROM
  • Marvel Super Heroes – Arcade ROM
  • X-Men: Children of the ATOM – Arcade ROM
  • X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse
  • Marvel Super Heroes in War of the Gems

That’s all of the first Capcom versus games, excluding Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and a few other great games. In addition, each game will include Wi-Fi (rollback netcode) and ethernet connectivity. the cabinet features a light-up marquee, coin doors, and exclusive Marvel vs. Capcom 2 artwork inspired by the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 box art.

The cabinet will be available for the North American regions (USA and Canada) only, so our friends elsewhere will have to import. This also does include the arcade ROMS. For those wondering, yes, the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Arcade Game Cabinet will support crossplay. So if you already have a cabinet and have any of the aforementioned games, you’ll be able to play with anyone who gets this cabinet.

According to Arcade1Up, the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Arcade Game Cabinetwill ship this September 9th, 2022. It is priced at $599.99 and should be available on Best Buy and Arcade1Up’s website.

Damn, I did not expect this to be announced, and now, I need to figure out how I will convince the wife to let me get this. Or maybe it will just appear in the house.
