Shredder’s Revenge gets a release date, Casey Jones and six player co-op mode revealed

While fans of Shredder’s Revenge, including myself, have patiently been waiting on a release date for quite some time. Then recently, rumors of the title of the game being released started popping up, which have proved to be true. Today, during the Summer Game Fest, TMNT Shredder’s Revenge release date has been announced and will be released on June 16, 2022.

But that’s not all, as Tribute Games and Dotemu were holding back some surprises. Everyone’s favorite mask-wearing vigilante, Casey Jones, has been revealed, along with a six-player mode. That’s right, six players. While we all thought TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge would be restricted to four players, they come out and drop this bomb on us all. As for how this new mode works, up to 6 players can jump into an online session at any time and play alongside you.

This is fantastic news!

As for Casey Jones, he’ll be accessible after unlocking him. I’m wondering if this will be a story-based thing, like how Adam was unlocked during the Streets of Rage 4 story mode.

The digital release will be priced at $24.99 for all platforms. A physical edition will be sold by Limited Run Games. This physical edition will be made available for the PS4, Xbox One, and Switch, priced at $34.99.

This is fantastic news, as I’ve been itching to get my hands on the game after playing the title during PAX East 2022. It was so good. If you thought Streets of Rage 4 was amazing, TMNT Shredder’s revenge is going to be that and then some.

TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge releases on June 16, 2022, for the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
