With the release of Gran Turismo 7 upon us and with the acclaim of numerous positive reviews, PlayStation has released the opening video to the title. It’s a beautiful look at car racing history, starting back from the beginning up until the modern age. It’s a touch of love for the sport and a look at the evolution from every pacing era and major events surrounding it.
Then the video shows us a video of a car being produced, actual footage, that breaks away into the gameplay of Gran Turismo 7, and it didn’t skip a beat. It was a great transition and one of the better ones I’ve seen in any video game.
This video is all about the love of racing, and if you’re a racing game fan, I’m sure you’ll identify with this opening video. I sure did, and boy, did it get me excited. I’ve been a big fan of the series, and I still remember the day that Gran Turismo for the PlayStation was released. It’s hard to believe that was just 25 years ago.
