Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Tops Nintendo Switch Best-Sellers List For US In 2021

Gaming in 2021 was a very interesting thing, as there were a lot of highly-anticipated releases, but not all of them lived up to the hype/expectations. But for the Nintendo Switch, it had a gambit of titles that seemed to do really well both critically, and sales-wise. The NPD has compiled the best-sellers list for the Nintendo Switch in 2021 within the US, and not surprisingly, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl has come out on top.

Here is the full list:

1. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl
2. Mario Kart 8
3. Super Mario 3D World
4. Animal Crossing: New Horizons
5. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
6. Monster Hunter Rise
7. Zelda: Breath of the Wild
8. Mario Party Superstars
9. Pokemon Sword / Shield
10. Zelda: Skyward Sword
11. Metroid Dread
12. New Super Mario Bros.
13. New Pokemon Snap
14. Minecraft
15. Super Mario 3D All-Stars
16. Super Mario Party
17. Super Mario Odyssey
18. Ring Fit Adventure
19. Mario Golf: Super Rush
20. Luigi’s Mansion 3

A very key thing to note about this list though is that not only is this ONLY for the US, but the digital sales of the games have not been accounted for. This is just the physical copies. So this list could be very different if those digital sales were included. Still, it’s another big win for Pokemon, which might continue soon with the release of Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
