February PS Plus Games Include ‘Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep’

By Andrew AgressJanuary 26, 2022
Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep

February is just around the corner which means that we have our PlayStation Plus games announced today. Subscribers can get their hands on Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure, EA Sports UFC 4, and Planet Coaster: Console Edition. The first two are for PlayStation 4 with Planet Coaster arriving on PlayStation 5.

Let’s see what we’re working with.

Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure

A long title for a game featuring our favorite small, yet explosive character from Borderlands (sorry, Claptrap), Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep gives the Gearbox shoot-em-up series a coat of fantasy role-playing paint. Tiny Tina leads players through a campaign of Dungeons & Dragons, ahem, I mean Bunkers & Badasses in a solo or co-op campaign. The game originally came out in 2013 as DLC for Borderlands 2, but this version is a recent standalone re-release with extra features. Aside from allowing players to blow things up and collect magical loot, it also has a lot of comedic references to other fantasy media. This is Tiny Tina, after all.

EA Sports UFC 4

Next up we’ve got UFC 4, the latest title in the mixed martial arts fighting game franchise. New additions include a career mode, allowing players to go from an amateur fighter to a UFC legend, as well as new takedown animations. The game released in 2020, but now is a good time to play as EA has since removed in-game advertisements after player backlash. And of course we can’t forget our commentators, with Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik recruited to provide commentary for this entry.

Planet Coaster: Console Edition

From Frontier Developments, the creators of Planet Zoo, we’ve got Planet Coaster. As a simulation games the directive is straightforward: build rollercoasters! But if the 700 pre-made objects aren’t enough, you can also download more to really make something a unique theme park. Of course, guests will arrive as you build, and ogle at your creations. You can also upload them online and hopefully real people will ogle at them too. There’s a great deal of customization in the game, and people have already made coasters and other attractions based on their favorite movie and TV show properties.

And there we have it. February’s lineup may not be as exciting as this month’s, when we got Persona 5 Strikers, Dirt 5, and Deep Rock Galactic. If you haven’t picked up those yet, you have until Monday, January 31st to do so. But this coming month does have some hidden gems. The genres may be a bit more niche but each game has gotten solid praise. They’re also all fairly recent releases, if you consider Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep as a re-release. PlayStation Plus subscribers can download Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure, EA Sports UFC 4, and Planet Coaster: Console Edition starting right on February 1st. They’re remain available until February 28th, according to the PlayStation Blog.
