Here’s what you’ll need to play God of War PC

If you’re a PC gamer, like I am, then January 2022 is shaping up to be an exciting month. One of those reasons is that one of the biggest PlayStation 4 titles, God of War, is headed to the PC.

While it’s not the first PS4 title to make the jump to the PC, it will be the most anticipated. Yesterday, PlayStation released a God of War Features Trailer for the PC. In it, we were treated to some PC footage of the game in action and the enhancements in the PC port.

These include Nvidia’s DLSS and Reflex support and AMD’s equivalent, Fidelityfx Super Resolution support. In addition, the PC version will feature enhanced visuals, higher-resolution shadows, improved screen-space reflections, enhanced Ground Truth Ambient Occlusion (GTAO), and Screen Space Directional Occlusion (SSDO), alongside highly detailed assets and rendering solutions.

I’m happy to see all the extra things that are being stuffed in the PC port. It’s the sort of thing that makes me happy to see that God of War isn’t just some cash grab and that Santa Monica Studio and PlayStation actually give a damn. If this is as good (or better) as the Death Stranding and Days Gone ports, this is going to be a dream for PC gamers. Needless to say, I’m looking forward to the release.

Check out the features trailer below.

In addition to the trailer, Santa Monica Studio has also released the requirements to play God of War on PC. The requirements are quite tame, up to 1080 @ 60FPS.
