New Halo Infinite PC ViDOC provides a better look at the PC version

By Keith MitchellOctober 21, 2021
Halo Infinite Boxart 7-22-2020

While we’re still a few months away from the release of Halo Infinite, the studio behind the development of the game, 343 Industries, took some time out to give a rundown of what PC gamers can expect.

Halo Infinite is unique as it’s the first time Halo is being developed for both the Xbox platform but also the PC. With that, the game incorporates a number of features, including Ultrawide monitor support (I see you smiling about that) and high fidelity graphics that you won’t be able to get on the consoles. Since 343i and AMD are working closely together, FreeSync support is in, with Ray Tracing coming later, as it won’t be available in the game at launch. There’s no Nvidia support here, so don’t expect DLSS.

For fans of multiplayer, 343i also dropped that Halo Infinite will also incorporate anti-cheat, but they didn’t mention which it would be, which makes sense. What made me happy is that Halo Infinite will also include the ability to partake in a LAN party experience; yep, LAN Support is in there!

This It’s a big deal, and 343i is excited to show the world just how special the PC version of Halo Infinite is going to be. This video clocks in under 10 minutes, and if you’re a PC gamer, it’s worth a watch. Heck, if you’re a fan of Halo Infinite, it’s worth a look.

That said, I hope 343i paid attention to the feedback from the Halo Infinite betas. There’s been a number of issues, ranging from framerates to controller support not being the best.

That’s not all, as Xbox and AMD have joined up to release a Radeon 6900 XT Halo Infinite Limited Edition GPU to celebrate the anniversary of Halo. The 6900XT is no joke and is AMD’s fasted GPU ever created. Fans of Halo will want to pay attention to find out how to win one; it won’t be sold in stores.

It definitely feels like 343i has put a ton of work into the PC version of Halo Infinite, and I’m looking forward to sitting down and playing it. I’ll be honest, I’ve watched this video multiple times, and I can’t wait for Halo Infinite to get released finally. It’s been a long journey, but we’re so close to the release of what will be (hopefully) the best Halo game ever. Now, that’s ha some big shoes to fill for me as I loved Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach.

Halo Infinite releases for Xbox One, Xbox Series XS, and PC (Windows/Steam) on December 9th, 2021. Are you ready to join the fight?
