New Pokemon Snap, Mario Golf Sugar Rush and Miitopia Join Switch Million-Sellers Club

New Pokemon Snap Review

One of the things that many industry people and fans look for whenever Nintendo releases their quarterly numbers is the sales numbers for certain new games.

Because with the Nintendo Switch, they seem to have a LOT of million-sellers, and the Q1 results for this fiscal year prove that true once again. As three new games can enter that realm via New Pokemon Snap, Mario Golf Super Rush, and the Switch version of Miitopia.

In terms of specific numbers, there you go:

New Pokemon Snap – 2.07 million
Mario Golf: Super Rush – 1.34 million
Miitopia – 1.04 million

These are impressive numbers for various reasons. Not the least of which is that it proves how New Pokemon Snap was right to come back, the Nintendo sports titles are still doing well (just like Mario Tennis Aces) and yet another Wii U port gets a new life on a new system.

We’ll be breaking this down even more on the next episode of the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast so stay tuned for that!

What about that Nintendo Switch OLED?

Speaking of the Nintendo Switch, don’t forget that Nintendo is releasing a revised version with a 7-inch OLED screen, built-in ethernet port, better speakers, a way better kickstand, and 64GB of internal space, later this year. On October 8th, 2021, the same day as Metroid Dread is released, the new Nintendo Switch OLED will is priced at $349.99 and is currently available for pre-order. Assuming any locations still have them available.

Here are the locations where you can attempt to snag a Nintendo Switch OLED.
