Catgirl in the Pantry: An Anime-Inspired Reverse-Isekai Light Novel, Available Now

By Josh PiedraJune 26, 2021

Original English Light Novel author, Scott Sinclair, has announced that his reverse-isekai adventure and romance light novel, Catgirl in the Pantry, is now available on Amazon!

The light novel series is described as follows:

When Gavin finds that a catgirl from another world mysteriously appears in his pantry, he decides, against all logic, to let her live in his room. But it’s not easy to keep a curious, free-spirited catgirl a secret. She doesn’t know anything about Earth culture, she’s constantly bored, and she has a strange and frustrating disregard for clothing. It’ll be hard enough for Gavin to keep his parents from finding out. And it’ll only get more complicated once a shadowy organization bent on killing any otherworlders enters the scene…

An ecchi reverse-isekai romance/adventure involving a catgirl. Strong sexual themes and frequent nudity, but no explicit descriptions of sexual acts (i.e. not erotica).

The book, which published almost a year ago in August of 2020, has garnered some positive reviews and currently holds a 4-star rating on Amazon. Here’s what some readers had to say about Catgirl in the Pantry:

An interesting and engaging story that kept my attention from start to finish. A good addition to the OELN marketplace. It’s worth picking up. – James Rowland

The main character, Gavin, has probably the most realistic personality I’ve ever seen. -Ilexis

The major characters each have their own personalities, worldviews, and skillsets — Lilah is especially fun to read. Even when the situations changed or characters gained abilities, I felt like each character stayed true to their personal values and worked with the skillsets they had. Interpersonal conflict and embarrassing situations between characters were caused by different cultural perspectives and worldviews, so they didn’t feel contrived or caused by characters being stupid. -Imaginary_number

The main character Gavin and the titular cat girl Lilah have some nice chemistry and the teen angst is done exceptionally well. The author is good at avoiding some tropey pitfalls of love triangles so the way Gavin is torn between Lilah and Autumn is quite realistic. Oh and Lilah is MEGA CUTE BEST GIRL that we need to PROTECC. – Theodoor

The book is available in Kindle format for $2.99 or for free if you have a Kindle Unlimited subscription. A paperback version of the book is also available for you to purchase and will run you $12.99.
