The Ten Best-Selling Star Wars Games In The US Have Been Revealed

By Todd BlackMay 4, 2021

The Star Wars universe is one that is vast, timeless, and has legions of fans that are willing to defend everything from the Sequel trilogy…to the Holiday Special (looking at you James Gunn…). But another thing that has been divisive at times among fans is the games of the Star Wars universe. At times, they’re GREAT, and at times, they’re money grabs. But the best often does rise to the top, especially when it comes to seeing game sales.

The NPD (in honor of May The 4th) have released the Top 10 Best-Selling Star Wars games in the United States and some of these might honestly be a bit shocking:

1. Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)
2. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
3. Star Wars: Battlefront II (2017)
4. LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
5. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
6. Star Wars: Battlefront II (2005)
7. LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy
8. LEGO Star Wars
9. Star Wars: Battlefront (2004)
10. Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire

Let’s break this down, shall we? The top three titles might not be a surprise given the hype around them (and the controversy around two of them). But then when you look at 4, 7 and 8, you’re no doubt stunned that the LEGO games are in the top ten. The original Battlefront titles are a welcome sight as those are still the best of the franchise in some players minds, and seeing The Force Unleashed and Shadows of the Empire (a game released in 1997!) is a fun sight as well.

Of course, this also means that certain fan-favorite Star Wars games aren’t in the top ten. Including the first Knights of the Old Republic, Republic Commando, and more.

Clearly, The Force wasn’t as strong with them.
