Made in Abyss Receives New TV Anime, Game

By Josh PiedraMay 5, 2021

It was announced through Akihito Tsukushi’s website, that a new television anime season of his Made in Abyss series has been green-lit. While a hard date hasn’t been announced, it is scheduled to air in 2022! The official title of the second season is Made in Abyss: Retsujitsu no Ogonkyou (The Sun Blazes Upon the Golden City).

In addition to a new television anime, a 3D action RPG based on Made in Abyss is being developed by Spike Chunsoft. The title of the game is called Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness. The game will feature an original story supervised by Tsukushi himself and will be available for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam in 2022. It should be noted that this looks to be a worldwide release as the game will be available in both an English version and a Japanese version.

Numskull Games is handling a physical version of the game in Europe as well!
