Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC Trunks: The Warrior of Hope Announced

During this weekends’ Bandai Namco Dragon Ball Battle Hour event, several gaming announcements took place. During the event, Bandai Namco revealed that it was working on a new DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. This new DLC called Trunks: The Warrior of Hope will retell the classic DBZ movie, The History of Trunks.

Back in 1993, the Dragon Ball Z movie, History of Trunks, was released. This movie served to a “What If” scenario if Goku (Kakarot) had died during the Dragon Ball Z Android Saga due to a mysterious illness. It’s here that we find a young Trunks trying to survive in a world where nearly all of the most powerful warriors had been killed off my Android 17 and 18. I won’t spoil it all for you if you haven’t watched it – but if you’re a fan of Dragon Ball Z, it’s worth a watch.

There’s currently no release date for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot: Trunks The Warrior of Hope. However, Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 have announced we should see it bring released this Summer 2021. It will be added to the current Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Season Pass or you can pick it up individually when it gets released.

It’s nice to see that new content is still being released, and it doesn’t hurt that I enjoyed History of Trunks. I’ve watched that movie more than my fair share of times; it’s a classic for Dragon Ball Z fans. Here’s to hoping the game does the movie proud.
