Xbox Series X|S Pulse Red Controller Arrives In Time for Valentine’s Day

I still think it should be called Knuckles Red.

Just in time for the upcoming Valentine’s Day Holiday, Microsoft has announced a Pulse Red Xbox Series X|S controller. This new controller will go on sale starting February 9th, 2021, and will retail for $64.99. It will be available at most retailers and the Microsoft store.

Update: The Pulse Red controller is now available for pre-order on Bestbuy, and Gamestop.

While the Xbox Series X|S has already seen the release of three colors; Robot While, Carbon Black, and Shock Blue, which I think they missed the boat by not calling it Sonic Blue, now will see the Pulse Red controller added to the series. Another name I think they could have worked with Sega to name. Couldn’t you see this being called Knuckles Red?

The controller’s top and grips are adorned in a fiery red color, matte black for the bumpers, and triggers, while the rear abd battery compartment door is splashed with a dash of white, which makes it stand out.

Of course, this controller will feature everything that has made the Xbox Series X|S controller lineup a favorite for Xbox and PC games. Not only do they feel more comfortable while in your hands, probably only second to the Xbox One Elite 2 Controller, they also include the Dynamic Latency Input while allows for a better responsive experience, share button, updated D-pad (which is fantastic for fighters) and textured grips. Lastly, if you’re a PC just like I am, you’ll be able to connect it via Bluetooth or the Xbox One Windows Adaptor.

It goes without saying, if this controller tickles your fancy, then you may want to scoop up one sooner than later. It’s no secret that the Xbox Series X|S consoles are in high demand, but that has also extended over to the accessories. Xbox Series X|S controllers are constantly out of stock, including Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg, and various other locations. Take it from someone who has an odd knack for collecting controllers.

And I’m already counting the days until I can get one pre-ordered. Maybe I’ll give it to my sweetheart, or maybe I’ll keep it for myself.

Of course, if this isn’t your color and you would rather a different color Xbox Series X|S controller that hasn’t been made yet, you might be in luck. Unbeknownst to many, the Xbox Design Lab went quiet sometime towards the end of 2020. In all likelihood, Xbox is getting ready to offer customized Xbox Series X|S controllers. So hopefully, you won’t be waiting long to get your own customized controllers again.
