The Snyder Cut Of Justice League Will Release On March 18th, 2021

By Todd BlackJanuary 29, 2021
The Snyder Cut, Zack Snyder's Justice League, HBO Max

It’s been a long time coming, but today, The Snyder Cut release date has come. The 4-hour film, the TRUE version of Justice League will arrive on HBO Max on March 18th!

The story of The Snyder Cut has now become legend amongst the fans. Snyder was hired to bring the DCEU to life, and after the lukewarm reception to Man of Steel and Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice, Warner Bros panicked and demanded that Justice League feel “more like a Marvel film”. Between their interference and the death of his daughter, Snyder left the film and Joss Whedon took over and basically remade the film into what is now known as the “Theatrical Version” of Justice League.

But what the fans saw was not what Snyder had intended, and so they rallied for YEARS for The Snyder Cut to be born, and they got their wish thanks to HBO Max. Though there isn’t a new trailer yet, Snyder says it will come. But to tide you over, here is the NEW synopsis for the Snyder Cut of Justice League:

In ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.

As you can tell, this is a very different synopsis from the theatrical version, and things are only going to get more divergent from here! Stay tuned for more updates about The Snyder Cut of Justice League!
