Ubisoft has announced that Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition will be released on January 14th,2021.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition will be released for PS4, Xbox One, PC (Ubisoft+), Switch, Amazon’s Luna, and Google Stadia. The game will also be playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S via backward compatibility. It’s currently priced at $14.99 for all platforms and is included in Ubisoft+ if you already paid for the service.

One of my favorite beat em up games, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, was unfortunately stuck on the Xbox 360 – which is why I never got rid of the console. Of course, I was one of the millions who pestered Ubisoft to re-release the game because it was damned fun and an amazing game. Years later, Ubisoft finally gives and announced that not only are they re-releasing the game, but we’re getting for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Switch, and Stadia.

Originally scheduled for a December 2020 release, we’ll have to wait a bit longer to rediscover this amazing co-op, beat ’em up gem. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: Complete Edition will include the base game plus both DLCs, which add new modes plus Knives Chau and Wallace Wells as playable characters. If you’ve never played the original game, but have played another similar game, River City Ransom or, more recently, River City Girls, then you’ll be right at home.

The only sad thing about this all is now I’ll finally have to retire my Xbox 360, but it’s earned its rest.
