Netflix Confirms ‘Aggretsuko’ Season 4

By Sara Roncero-MenendezDecember 27, 2020

Merry belated Christmas to you all! And what’s the best way to celebrate the winter festivities of your choosing? A rage-filled red panda in an office job, of course. That’s right, just before Christmas, Netflix and the team behind the show announced that Aggretsuko would be back for a season 4.

You deserve a gift 🎁: Aggretsuko is coming back for a fourth season of romance, rock, and RAGE! 🔥 pic.twitter.com/Q0e8D70hOx

The announcement on social media show the main character Retsuko in a Santa suit along with her friends Fenneko and Haida. Unfortunately, the news doesn’t come with any other details, including when we can expect the show to come out, though it’ll likely be sometime in late 2021 if not 2022 given that the announcement doesn’t feature any official artwork.

Many fans were torn by the third season of the show. Season 3 saw Retsuko join an idol group and get harassed and attacked by a stalker fan, which was a little out of left field. On the plus side, her relationship with Haida progressed, with Haida choosing to continue to try and court Retsuko even if she doesn’t return his feelings yet, and even learning of her heavy metal talent. The big question becomes where does the story go from here, and again, this announcement gives us no clues.

Aggretsuko Season 4 will premiere on Netflix sometime in late 2021 or possibly 2022.

A reporter by trade, Sara is a lover of horror, sci-fi, and all things pop culture. From indies to classics to even the strangest schlock, all movies and TV shows are fair game. She believes Batman is the most fascinating superhero, and that Silent Hill is one of the best horror franchises ever made (as long as you don't count the movies). Fun Fact: The only movie Sara will not rewatch is The Room -- once was more than enough.
