Streets of Rage 4 DLC is happening, we just don’t know when

Streets of Rage 4 5th player announcement and release date-01.png

Streets of Rage 4 is one of my favorite games of 2020, and easily one of my favorite 2D brawlers of all time — high praise from me. However, after playing through the game more than a few times, I wanted more and turned to Dot Emu if they planned on releasing any DLC for the game. At the time they were mum and weren’t saying much, but now they’re at least loosened up.

Dot Emu has finally announced that Streets of Rage 4 will see some sort of DLC in the future, there just isn’t any release date. But at least we have some confirmation.

"Will you add content to Streets of Rage 4?"

YES, we will but there is no ETA. You guys are awesome and deserve the best so give us time to do things right.

As for what I’d love to see in the upcoming DLC, Estel, the female officer you tangle with early on in the game, she needs to be a playable character. I wouldn’t mind seeing some more levels and some narrative. Maybe check on what Shiva is doing since we did visit him during the game as well.

Dot Emu is still keeping whatever they have planned close to their chest and we’ll just wait for the eventual DLC.

Streets of Rage 4 is currently playable on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. You can also play it via Xbox Game Pass if you have a subscription.
